Hey Mama
Keeping the kitchen table tidy, especially when it’s a multipurpose space where kids do homework, can be a challenge. Here are some tips to help maintain order and make the space functional for everyone:
1. Designate a Homework Caddy
Use a portable caddy or bin to store all the necessary school supplies, like pencils, erasers, rulers, and notebooks. This way, everything is within reach when it’s homework time, but easily stowed away when it’s not. We love using this caddy to make sure everything has its place!
2. Set Clear Zones
Divide the table into zones for different activities. For instance, one side of the table can be designated for homework, while the other is reserved for meals. This helps keep materials organized and prevents clutter from spreading.
3. Daily Clean-Up Routine
Make it an end-of-day ritual to clear the table together. Turn on some music, and have everyone pitch in to put away homework supplies and any other items hanging around. Finish it off with a quick wipe-down to keep the table sparkling and ready for the next day’s adventures.
