Winter Looks

Snow looks, fun and Valentine’s Day….

Sherpa-Lined Duck Boots…

Leave it to Gap to be consistent. I bought these boots for my oldest when he was little and they are still in use now for my 3-year-old!

Kids’ Sorel Waterproof Boots…

Once Brig grew out of his tiny adorable boot days, I realized we were going to need something more rugged to handle recess and snow days. I invested in Sorel boots and have been very happy with their quality. They also look great enough to pull off a dress shoe hybrid in a pinch.

Patagonia Boys Snowshot Insulated Jacket…

If we’re going to live in Iowa, I’ve decided it also means investing in good winter gear. The boys spend a lot of time outside between recess and at-home play. This Patagonia is layered to last us from spring through winter.

Valentine’s Sweatshirt…

Sign me up for nearly every holiday celebration with special clothes for the kids. However, it’s also great when the kids can wear it for longer than the few-week hoilday window. I love (pun intended) this sweatshirt to celebrate Valentine’s Day but can also work for every day after.

Snowball Maker…

Fairly self-explanatory here. When I look at these, I always picture the scene in Elf when he’s creating massive amounts of snowballs in a short amount of time. Just in case you find yourself in that pickle as well, I highly recommend these. Order these and keep them a surprise until the next snow day to bring some unexpected fun, and ideally some free and quiet time for you.

Dash Heart Mini Waffle Maker…

File this adorable waffle maker under “how to look like a Pinterest mom, when you have zero time”. Get a box of waffle mix, add the two ingredients and pour it into this cute waffle maker. We use Annie’s because there are easy instructions on the back to make them vegan (or better known as Cal-friendly, in our house).

Infants’ Down Bunting…

My only frustration with this perfect snowsuit is I haven’t been able to find it in adult sizes. Cal loves to play in the snow, and in case you haven’t met a 3-year-old, they aren’t the easiest to talk logically with. So when I think he needs to come in and he wants to play longer, this snowsuit does the trick. It’s so warm, he has never complained about being cold and it stays on beautifully.
