Spring break prepping …
Every once in a while (read: quarterly), I get the chance to slow down and have what we call in our family a “civilized” cup of coffee out at a coffee shop. You know the kind: In a mug and savored vs. in a to-go cup (my standard) and downed while driving or multi-tasking. If you need ALL the coffee to get you through the tail end of winter like I do, let’s distract ourselves with some things I’m loving this week.
Super flattering swimsuit…
I spotted (pun intended) this adorable leopard-print swimsuit at Target in January, and while so much of me screamed “don’t do it yet!”, the person who tried it on in-store thought, “wowzas!”. If you like a more sporty look, good backside coverage while you’re chasing children, AND flattering ruching, this is my pick for 2023.
Delicious meal inspiration…
I’ve been a Tiegahan Gerard fangirl for quite some time, and finally purchased a copy of “Half Baked Harvest Cookbook: Recipes from My Barn in the Mountains.” I’m in love with her writing AND how delicious her recipes are. If you’re looking for wholesome, whole-foods ideas for truly any meal, definitely snag a copy for yourself. Plus, it looks so pretty sitting on my cookbook stand!
Booties that give back…
Nothing says end of winter like me looking for a good deal on booties, and I’ve had my eye on these Toms Kelsey Wedge booties since Christmas when they were still full price. In my opinion, they run a bit small so I recommend sizing up a half-size. This black/brown combination makes me feel like my entire wardrobe isn’t black and gray, and they look adorable with the Athleta joggers I shared last week or jeans.
Portable wagon…
I was reminded again this weekend how much I love our Radio Flyer 3-in-1 Collapsible Wagon when I loaded it up in 15 seconds to take with us down to Gray’s Lake for our first laps there this year. We use it a lot for walks around our neighborhood, but folding it up and stowing it in the back of our SUV is so simple I’m planning to do more impromptu outings this year.
My MVP coffeemaker…
My husband and I are true coffee lovers and go through quite a bit of it both on weekdays and weekends. We got this Ninja Programmable XL 14-cup Coffee Maker Pro as a Christmas gift last year, and we LOVE it! It has both classic and rich brew styles, makes enough for seven average-sized coffee cups or 14 small cups, has a setting to just make 1-4 cups, and keeps coffee warm for up to four hours. Our kids may not be great sleepers these days, but we’re caffeinated!
