Getting Organized…
Getting Organized…
“Build organized systems,” they say, and who am I to argue? Sharing some of the favorite products I’ve incorporated into our home this past month to help our days flow better.
On a side note, we’re incredibly excited we’ll soon be launching our new platform and going through a name transition to The Moms Society.
Headphones Stand…
Part of operation organize our home for my sanity is also getting the kids involved. As I was working to assess what things frequently pop up in the mental load. The “where’s my iPad and headphones mom” question was top of mind. Cue the building a station for where these things live which is easy to use (even for a 9-year-old!). I found a cupboard close to a plugin and went for it. I also implemented a rule if the iPad and headphones aren’t put away, the screen time privileges are lost for the day. It’s been a (shocking) success and I’ve loved the way this acrylic headphone stand looks.

Device Organizer…
The headphone stand pairs nicely with this device organizer. Both sit in the cupboard, and I have the cords laying in the cord organizer listed below. It’s been a pretty snazzy (if you ask me) organization plan which has saved a lot of dead iPad frustrations and looking around the house for things.
Entryway Hall Tree…
We have a space in our entryway which normally too closely resembles Mt. Fuji in height of stacks of coats, backpacks, hockey gear, etc. It didn’t make sense for our family to get built in lockers, so I scoured the internet to find this perfect mix of functionality, mental load reduction, and aesthetics.

Tori Hook…
Sometimes you just need to get things off the floor to feel better. With the addition of our dog Cricket to our family this past fall he also, like a child, came with a lot of accessories. Everything from his leash to his monogrammed jacket (obviously). Things had started living everywhere in the house, so I encouraged us all to stay organized by putting these beautiful hooks from Anthropologie in the stairwell near the door where he goes out. I love that it keeps us organized but also doesn’t come with the industrial look of a command hook for our home aesthetic.

Clear Shelf Divider…
If you know me, you know I have a love for sweaters and purses. This comes with a lot of flopping over of things in my closet. I recently went wild on installing these shelf dividers. I went so far as to get enough so one purse was between each divider. Was it a little overboard? Possibly yes. Does it make my mental load happy every day when I see it and feel like an organization queen? Also yes. I highly recommend them.

Rattan Bin…
Next up on getting organized was my boys’ socks, underwear and other small tiny adorable, yet somehow multiplying items they have in their closet. I found these rattan bins and while my boys could care less what they look like, let’s be honest, I’m the one most often grabbing from them and putting things away. On the off chance we’re living in an independent moment from either of them, these have made it easy for them to grab and go.

Tame those Cables…
So many cords, so little time. I couldn’t take another moment of someone asking me where a certain charger was, so I set up the charging station with high hopes. So far so good. These cord organizers fit the look and the goal.
